The thing with any indirect pollution from EVs is that that even if the electricity you use is coal produced, the emissions is are still far lower than conventional IC cars. And the fact is that electricity CAN and IS made in many clean ways: nuclear, solar, wind, wave, geothermal, hydro and many that we may not even have tapped yet. There is no way for an IC car NOT to pollute. If a person actually drives an EV, only then will they realize what a whole other experience an EV is.

Conservatives are against change, even if it’s good. Imagine if most cars were electric, and liberals wanted to change to gasoline. They would say, why would I want a car that I could not refuel at home? Why would I want a car that’s so noisy? Why would I want a car that could kill me if I started it in my garage? There are 100s of ways to make electricity, but only one way (with a lot of steps) to make gasoline, if one of those steps fail, I would not be able to refuel my car.
