    And here i thought …
And here i thought the children chose to enlist for the money and experience.

    i agree on death …
i agree on death valley, that place is steamin..

getting power from a wasteland like thats amazing in my opinion, far better than
    sacrificing sons and daughters of
europe and america in the middle east.

nobody should ever be asked to sacrifice
    their children like that.
hey i wrote to SES and sunpower, they are willing to licence their technology to manufacturers…

if you’re interested u should approach them-
they got space technology, but theyre not manufacturers-

    It’s my opinion …
It’s my opinion that SES ought to install a bunch of dishes in Death Valley, unfortunately, this is a Federal state park, and it will never be allowed. Shows you how stupid and worthless our government is.

If Death Valley was covered with SES dishes, it would produce enough energy to run the entire country.

    i’ve made a few, …
i’ve made a few, they do work well

but i agree with your comment
” think Stirling Energy has got you beat. They claim 30% efficiency”
the united states is the promised land for solar energy, they’ve done hard work for 20 years and the fruits are coming out-

SES builds the lamborghini of them all.
they purr away in silence and plans are on track to build the 100Sq mile farm which will produce all of united states day time energy
    needs.

    far better than foreign oil

    > they’re doing …
    > they’re doing well, sunpower also
    > but anyone can build a solar sterling system-
    > the free piston design is simple!!

Then do it, if it’s so easy.

    you mean SES?

    …
    you mean SES?

    they’re doing well, sunpower also
but anyone can build a solar sterling system-
the free piston design is simple!!

    30 000 euros…40 …
    30 000 euros…40 000 US Dollars…

    someone can tell me …
someone can tell me how much this sunmachine cost?

    The 1000l tank is …
The 1000l tank is used to store the heat in the house to be used als warm water or heating rooms.
A bigger storage tank would not make sense, the constant heatloss of the tank allows only to store heat for the next 1-4 days.

A normal car sized radiator would make it possible to generate power and get rid of unneeded heat. With a truck sized it even would not need a fan to dispense from 11kW heat energy.

    I think Stirling …
I think Stirling Energy has got you beat. They claim 30% efficiency, and their dish is also about $50K, and a lot LOT bigger.

Unfortunately, they are a private company, so I cannot invest. They are a sure winner, unless the government kills them.

    No It is water …
    No It is water cooled.
    Manufacturer claims 1000L tank…

It seems to be too small for me…

  12. on 17 Dec 2008 at 6:52 pm12roidroid

    so it’s 10,000 …
so it’s 10,000 Euros per kilowatt (uninstalled)

it doesn’t seem to have any air vents on it. i guess it’s water cooled and the radiator is somewhere off camera – perhaps on the ground.

    11 (eleven) kW heat …
    11 (eleven) kW heat…

Rentability is really bad…but it is only beginning…I hope…

  14. on 17 Dec 2008 at 6:52 pm14desiredusername

    $60k!

    OTOH, 3kWe …
    $60k!

OTOH, 3kWe and 1kW heat. That’s not bad for something so small. I could put that in my yard easy and be “earning” hundred$/month.

    Dear Sir
    hello

We are from India working on the solar sterling engine technolgy which can produce Electricity , due to the poor availbility electricity in India. this will be good busienss. So we woudl like to have the detail of the project and cost of the price asap. Hopping to have your early and favourable response soon .
