How much does a good solar panel cost in square feet?

May 30th, 2009 by Mr.Burton

I do not want these ideas to run all of that shit i just want a solar panels. That run a good amount of electricity/make. I want a large quantity like enough that can power like 10-15 duplexes.

You can expect to pay $800 to $1000 per each panel that generates around 180 to 200 watts. Then you’ll have to figure in installation costs.

If you own rental property, then you must be familiar with construction and repair costs. Solar electric panels will cost about 10x what a composition shingle roof would in terms of square footage. In other words, about $50 per square foot.

But as the other person mentioned, it’s not as simple as it seems – the panels need to go on the side of the roof that faces the sun, and the roofs need to be free of shadows, even shadows of vent pipes. It’s a good idea to call a professional installer to get an idea of what’s involved.
